Pneumatic 100KVA Industrial Spot Welder Projection Welding Machine
Overview
This 100KVA pneumatic stationary spot welding machine delivers a flexible, high-output joining solution for sheet metal fabricators who handle mild steel, coated steel, stainless steel, and aluminum workpieces. Built for production-line efficiency, it combines projection welding, spot welding, and combination welding capabilities in a single frame, letting operators adapt to changing job requirements without investing in multiple machines.
Unlike conventional manual welders, this unit uses a pneumatic pressurization system with a vertically moving upper electrode to apply consistent, repeatable force across every weld cycle. The "fixed machine, moving workpiece" layout keeps the operator in a steady rhythm, which is especially valuable for cookware manufacturers, cabinet fabricators, and metal product shops running high-volume batch orders. Carbon steel welding capacity ranges from 0.5+0.5 mm up to 6+6 mm depending on the selected model and spot welding configuration.
Key Technical Advantages
Multi-Mode Welding Flexibility
Switch between projection welding for nuts, bolts, and brackets, spot welding for overlapping sheet edges, or a combined approach for complex assemblies — all without changing machines or reconfiguring the production cell.
Pneumatic Pressure Consistency
The pneumatic drive delivers stable electrode force with rapid response, reducing operator dependency and ensuring weld quality stays uniform from the first joint to the last in a long shift.
Energy-Efficient Duty Cycle
With a 50% duty cycle and rated power spanning 40 to 100 KVA across the DN(B) series, the machine supports sustained production runs while keeping electrical consumption lower than traditional AC welders of comparable output.
Compact, Rigid Machine Frame
The stationary design keeps the transformer, pneumatic cylinder, and electrode assembly firmly aligned, minimizing vibration and deflection during repeated high-force welding cycles.
Broad Material Compatibility
Handles low-carbon steel, coated plates, stainless steel, and aluminum sheets, making it a practical choice for manufacturers producing cookware, hardware components, cabinets, and structural metal parts.
Applications
| Industry | Typical Workpiece | Welding Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Cookware Manufacturing | Stainless steel pots, aluminum pans, handles | Spot welding |
| Automotive Components | Brackets, nuts, mounting plates | Projection welding |
| Cabinet & Enclosure Fabrication | Galvanized sheet metal panels | Spot welding |
| Metal Products & Hardware | Frames, fasteners, stamped parts | Combination welding |
| Structural Steel Assembly | Low-carbon steel plates, reinforcements | Spot welding |
Working Principle
The machine lowers the upper electrode via a pneumatic cylinder onto the stacked workpieces, clamping them firmly between the two copper electrodes. A high-current, low-voltage pulse from the transformer passes through the joint, generating localized resistance heat at the contact interface. The metal softens and fuses under pressure, forming a solid nugget after the current stops and the joint cools. For projection welding, the current concentrates at pre-formed projections on the workpiece, enabling nuts, bolts, or brackets to be joined cleanly without external filler material.

Frequently Asked Questions
What materials can this machine weld?
It is designed for low-carbon steel, coated steel plates, stainless steel, and aluminum sheets. Typical carbon steel thickness ranges from 0.5+0.5 mm to 6+6 mm depending on the model and welding pattern selected.
Can it perform both spot and projection welding?
Yes. The DN(B) series supports spot welding, projection welding, and a combination of both. Switching between modes is done through electrode configuration and process parameter settings.
What is the required power supply?
The standard configuration operates on 3-phase AC 380V. Please confirm your local voltage when ordering so we can configure the transformer accordingly.
How much cooling water is needed?
Each model requires approximately 20 L/min of cooling water flow to protect the transformer and electrode holders during sustained operation.
